Your Destiny Is Written In The Stars

Aries need for speed has colored spring creating a fast pace environment for all; including the Aries New Moon on Wednesday April 14th. The New Moon in Aries is the official start of the astrological New Year.  Happy New Year! Yet, we are days away from messenger Mercury turning retrograde in slow moving Taurus from April 18-May 11th.  Life can feel as if we have been speeding up only to slow it down.  Aries is the fastest moving sign and Taurus is the slowest moving sign in the zodiac.  New Moons are powerful opportunities to set our intentions for the next thirty-days. Depending on where the New Moon takes place in your natal chart will determine what area of your life is being most activated for you. On the day of the New Moon or the following day you can do a ritual, light a candle, meditate and make a wish list written from your heart desires to the universe.  Magic happens when we turn our personal will over to the Higher Self or Divine Will.  We can’t always see what is ahead or why goals we thought were once important are no longer.  Your Higher Self knows your life path, destiny, and what you have contracted to do in life prior to your birth.  Your vital life path information was programmed into you’re your natal birth chart. You may not be consciously aware of where you are going or that you are on the right path heading towards your brilliant destiny. We must have faith and trust that we are being delivered even if we are experiencing difficulties, challenges and setbacks along the way. You are here to triumph over obstacles. Timing is everything. The ability to read the signs of our times can empower us to ride the river of life to our bliss and stay out of fear. “It is a wise woman who rules the stars it is a fool who is ruled by them.”–The Cosmic Muffin

There are times to take action and push ahead. There is a time to wait and digest that which has gone before.  We are entering a slow cycle as the planet of communication Mr. Mercury moves backward.  Mercury plays an extremely important role in our brain processes and our day to day communications.  Mercury rules reading, writing, comprehending, speaking and analyzing. We can take our time now with the Sun moving into slow Taurus on April 20th together with Mercury and Venus in Taurus.  The universe is telling us that efforting will not get us what we want, for it is time to slow life down, be in a receiving mode, read the fine print, and take our time with major decisions. We don’t have all the facts when the God of communication is sleeping. How can we act effectively or in our best interest when we don’t know the whole story?

Taurus is an earth sign reminding us to connect with the magnificent Earth energy and take in the healing power of nature, playing outside, resting, and finding comfort and nourishment.  Aries is about taking risks, being in perpetual action, pushing out and honoring our male side.  Taurus is about being patient, waiting, observing, using wisdom, taking in opportunities, and honoring our female side.  We need to be balanced in both our male/female aspects of Self in order to have well-being both personally and collectively. We have no control over what other folks are doing or the crazy events happening in our world. Our power lies in making “right choices” for Self.  When you do what is right for you, it is right for everyone else.

On April 26, we have the fourth in a five series face-off between our dueling champs Saturn now back in Virgo and Uranus in late Pisces.  Saturn represents integrity, honor, stability, the status quo, fear and the past. Uranus represents the great awakening, innovation, risk-taking, freedom, progressive thinking and the future.  Saturn wants to build on “what is” and Uranus wants to burn it to the ground and start fresh. One is not better than the other both have an important role to play in our personal development and world events.  As a result, Saturn and Uranus are extremely different and don’t like each other. Being in opposition to each other only exasperates their aversion. This perpetuates the anxiety, fear, confusion, disorientation, resistance, and anger we may be experiencing personally and in the rebellious civil unrest transpiring in our world.  Saturn and Uranus powerful pairing creates a standoff between the old and the new.  One minute you may feel excited about your future ready to embrace the unknown only to fall back into not wanting things to change, dancing one step forward and two steps backward.

Oppositions are awareness that come to us through other people or external events.  Whatever is happening in your life, you will notice that these changes have been coming for a long time.  In other words, an opposition is a projection of what we have been denying or repressing. For instance, you have been bored to death in your job and yet the security has made you so comfortable you have been unwilling to leave.  If we are not taking “conscious action” to improve our work dynamic and move forward; the universe will conspire to liberate us. One surprising day, you can find yourself laid-off when your boss walks you out of the building and says good bye. If you are really honest with yourself, you will own that you have needed to move on for a long time. In truth, it was really you making this event happen. Above all, the entire reason we are alive is to evolve into Self Actualized beings reaching our fullest potential/power.

Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy to Self Actualization

Balance is the key to thriving in an uncertain environment.  This implies being open to creative change, while utilizing our current foundations. Extremism is ‘throwing the baby out with the bath water”. Resistance is holding on too tight until the universe rips it out of our bleeding hands.  Life is much easier and noble when we go willingly, rather than dragging, kicking and screaming into our future. We want to honor Saturn, the structures currently in our life. While awakening to the excitement, change and freedom of Uranus who is pulling us forward. We want to create a balance between the old life and new life. There are powerful planetary energies on the horizon and we can ride the river of change by being open to the new and reach our fullest power.

This May we will celebrate the life and teachings of Gautama Buddha during Wesak May 28-30th. Buddha lived over twenty-five hundred years ago and his teachings are more alive and real today. He taught us the middle way. Being rigid or fanatical in anything is unhealthy and not the way of the Buddha. Practicing moderation in food and drink creates health and well-being. Practicing patience, being grounded, being awake and aware is the way of the Buddha. If we do these practices, we will be adding to the Goddess Light energy being beamed to our beloved planet and people. We will be in the flow of what we want. You don’t have to be rich or famous to make a difference. Keeping a sense of humor, staying positive and practicing kindness makes your life better and betters the lives of others. When Gautama Buddha was meditating under the Lotus tree a passerby asked him: “Who are you?” Buddha responded: “I Am Awake!” Now more than ever we need to stay awake, aware and be the Buddha. Jesus taught us to be as wise as the serpent and harmless as the dove.

We are in a time of great transition from the old life to new ways of living, working, and intention. Summer of 2010 will be the time to find our fresh purpose, forge our wills, and consciously reshape Self. We can change our lives. We can reinvent ourselves. If we don’t play the victim and recognize that we all have a hand in shaping our future. Yes, we are co-creating our future together with our thoughts, feelings and actions. I believe we are all connected to each other and to the One Source. The universe is requiring all of us to change and reinvent ourselves. We are being asked to hit the reset button on our lives. Even in a climate of change, chaos and uncertainty. You can allow yourself to struggle through the birth of your new human awareness, the birth of the new you and your new ways of creating opportunities. You Can Live Your Very Best Health, Well-Being, Vitality, and Power. We can thrive in transition. “One who is mostly an observer thrives in good times but suffers in bad times because what he is observing is already vibrating, and as he observes it, he includes it in his vibrational countenance. As he includes it, the Universe accepts that as his point of attraction and gives him more of it. So the better it gets the better it gets. Or the worse it gets the worse it gets. While one who is a visionary thrives in all times.” — Abraham

  3. Kelley, My friend Pat Serafin recently shared your newsletter with me. Today I took time to read. Great stuff! I was so inspired I shared your site and a portion of what you wrote with a group I host called Intenders. You can check it out at http://www.blog.connectingyouwithyourself.com. I signed up for your newsletter and am looking forward to more of your teachings and wisdom. I also forwarded your link to two friends, in career transition. 4. Thank you Nancy I just checked out your blog connecting you with yourself. I love it. You are right on target. I believe it is the key to our source of power. The most significant and longest relationship we will have in life is with Self. Only through Self can we connect to Source and our unlimited power. Given the Law of Attraction, if we want to have our relationships be healthy, happy and strong. We must first have a healthy, happy and strong relationship with Self. It is the foundation to a successful life. Keep up the great work!

    Namaste,
    Kelley
